Last minute phone call
The taupo self catering accommodation website was a blessing when I was trying to find a place to stay. The entire trip was a bit of a surprise to me as I had not been planning on it at all. It was a last minute phone call from one of the bars down there asking me if I would be interested in a filling a spot for the Friday night entertainment as one of the bands had to pull out. This was on the Thursday that I received this call, so I really had to rush around to get everything organized in time as I had to leave first thing in the morning.
