Building Chicken Coops -from trees
If you have trees on your property you can use them to make posts for your chicken coup even if they are still green wood. From the top end of your trees cut four 11 foot posts. Dig post holes on your site and tap the tree tops in hard. If you use concrete with green timber it will eat up the timber as it is green, so don’t worry about concreting them in. If your using a wood that has a lot of sap like pine you may need to sharpen your chain sore more often as the chain loads up with sap faster.
