Core strength building is not the same as Body building

Most people are gravely misled to believing that strength building and bodybuilding are the same thing, when in actual fact, they are as different as chalk and cheese.  Strength is delivered through the core muscles.  Ability and performance level in all functional movements is determined by core strength. Hence, strength building exercises are designed to include the core muscles, as opposed to bodybuilding exercises designed to exclude them.  Why?  Because minimum size of the core muscles enables maximum size of the extremity muscles.  Bodybuilding is not a competition of strength, but a competition of looks.  Over 90% of equipment in gyms is designed by bodybuilders for bodybuilding.  It has nothing to do with developing health, fitness or strength.
