When Art is Not Objective
Art is hard to define. The fact that John Cage can write a four minute and thirty three second song containing zero notes in it and pass it off as art says it all. Look at many modern canvas art prints and minimalism. In my own encounters with art, my preferred technique was to rummage through garbage cans for damaged blank canvas, stain them with ink from daubers, smother them with gasoline, light them on fire, extinguish them with a pint of bud light, and spin them rapidly through the air, creating interesting swirly patterns. However, I was not pretentious enough to attempt to sell them. So, my definition of art includes anything you can think of to express yourself.
